Mount Vernon Nazarene College guard Ehren Hull has been named the Mid-Ohio Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his performance in games during the week of February 9-15. This is the second time this season that Hull has received this honor.
Hull, a 6-foot-2 junior from Canton, Ohio, averaged 21 points to help the Cougars maintain first place in the MOC with three more wins. He had 17 points in an 83-60 non-conference decision at Kenyon College. He followed that with a 30-point performance in a 104-82 victory over Cedarville College that included seven three-pointers. Finally, he finished the week with 16 points and four more treys in a 90-74 win at Shawnee State University.
For the week, Hull made 46.1 percent of his shots overall and buried 13-of-28 three-point attempts for 46.4 percent. He his 82.4 percent of his free throw attempts and added eight assists, six rebounds, two steals, and one blocked shot.
Hull currently ranks third in the conference in steals per game (1.9) and seventh in scoring (17.4 points per game).
MVNC is now 23-5 overall and in first place in the MOC with an 11-3 mark. The Cougars can clinch at least a share of their first-ever conference crown with a win at Walsh University on Thursday, February 19. MVNC is also one win away from tying the school record for victories in a season set last season.
