Wilging and Allen Earn All-Conference
Awards

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (11-21-2011) - Steve
Wilging and Chris Allen, two members of the
Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's
soccer team, were recently honored when the
Mid-Central College Conference awards were
announced by the MCC office.

Wilging, a senior defender from
Mansfield, Ohio, was named to the MCC First
Team. The former Mansfield Christian High
School product played and started in 18
matches for the Cougars and anchored the
defense that posted five shutouts and
allowed 38 goals in 19 matches. He also
registered one assist.
Allen, a
senior forward from St. Catherine, Jamaica,
was named to the MCC Second Team. The former
Kingston College standout led MVNU with
eight goals and five assists this year to
finish with 31 goals and 26 assists for his
career to rank ninth in school history in
both categories. He also ranks eighth in
career points with 88.
The Cougars
finished their first season in the MCC with
a 3-6 conference mark and a 7-11-1 overall
record.
