MVNU's Taylor Earns MCC Honorable Mention

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (2-21-2012) - Robbie
Taylor, a member of the Mount Vernon
Nazarene University men's basketball team,
has been named to the Mid-Central College
Conference Honorable Mention Team by the
vote of the conference coaches.
Taylor,
a senior guard from Gahanna, Ohio, has been
among the conference leaders in numerous
statistical categories all season. The
former Gahanna Lincoln High School standout
ranks fourth in the MCC in steals (58),
seventh in scoring (16.0 ppg), seventh in
assists (104), eighth in free throw
percentage (77.4), eighth in 3-pointers made
(57), and eleventh in 3-point percentage
(35.6). He also leads the Cougars in minutes
played per game (34.7) and free throws made
(120) and has grabbed 95 rebounds.
Taylor finishes his four-year career at MVNU
having played in 119 games. He ranks 19th in
school history with 1,376 points, sixth with
311 free throws made, and eighth with 193
steals. He also recorded 282 career rebounds
and 326 career assists and made 191
3-pointers.
The Cougars finished the
2011-2012 season with a 9-21 overall record
and a 3-15 conference mark.
