MVNU's Snouffer Named AMC Offensive
Player of the Week

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (10-30-2010) - Cody
Snouffer, a member of the Mount Vernon
Nazarene University men's soccer team, was
recently selected as the American Mideast
Conference Offensive Player of the Week for
his performance in matches played from
October 18-24.
Snouffer,
a senior forward from Delaware, Ohio, led
the Cougars to a 2-0 week in conference play
that kept MVNU in the race for an AMC
Tournament spot. The former Delaware
Christian School star scored the
game-winning goal in the Cougars' 3-2 double
overtime win at Point Park (Pa.) University.
He added the tying goal in the closing
seconds of the first half in a 2-1 win over
Walsh University.
On the season, Snouffer has scored seven
goals and added five assists while starting
all 17 matches. For his career, he now has
26 goals, ranks ninth in school history with
25 assists, and stands tenth in school
history with 77 total points.
MVNU is currently 10-6-1 overall and 4-2-1
in the AMC. The Cougars, who have now
clinched a spot in the four-team AMC
Tournament after Wednesday's win over
Cedarville University, will play their
regular-season finale at Malone University
on Saturday at 3 p.m. The AMC Tournament
will start on November 6. |  |
