MVNU's Snouffer Named to ESPN Academic
All-America Team

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (11-29-2010) - Cody
Snouffer, a member of the Mount Vernon
Nazarene University men's soccer team, was
recently honored when the ESPN Academic
All-America College Division Teams were
announced by the College Sports Information
Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Cody
Snouffer, a senior midfielder from Delaware,
Ohio, was named to the ESPN Academic
All-America Second Team. The former Delaware
Christian School star has started all 21
matches this year and has recorded eight
goals and eight assists to increase his
career totals to 27 goals and 28 assists. He
is a Spanish/Intercultural Studies double
major with a 3.91 grade point average, and
he was an NAIA and National Christian
College Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete
selection last year. Snouffer was also named
to both the American Mideast Conference
first Team and the NCCAA East Region Team
this season.
The ESPN Academic All-America College
Division teams are selected by members of
CoSIDA. Eligible student-athletes must have
at least a 3.30 grade point average, be at
least in their sophomore year, and must be
an Academic All-District First Team
selection.
MVNU finished the 2010 campaign with a
12-7-2 overall record. The Cougars advanced
to the AMC Tournament semifinals and fell in
the NCCAA East Region Tournament
championship match in a shootout. |  |
