MVNU's Snouffer Earns More Player of the
Week Honors

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (11-9-2010) - Cody
Snouffer, a member of the Mount Vernon
Nazarene University men's soccer team, was
recently honored as the American Mideast
Conference Offensive Player of the Week for
the second week in a row as well as being
named the National Christian College
Athletic Association Player of the Week for
his performance during the week of October
25-31.
Snouffer,
a senior forward from Delaware, Ohio, led
the Cougars to a 2-0 record for that week as
MVNU extended its winning streak to five
straight matches and earned the No. 3 seed
in the AMC Tournament. In a 4-1 victory over
Cedarville University, the former Delaware
Christian School standout scored a goal and
added an assist. Then, in a 4-0 win at
Malone University, he scored the first goal
and added an assist on the second goal.
On the season, Snouffer has recorded eight
goals and seven assists. He has now scored
27 career goals, ranks sixth in school
history with 27 career assists, and ranks
tenth in school history with 81 career
points.
MVNU is currently 11-7-1 overall. The
Cougars will play in the upcoming four-team
NCCAA East Region Tournament and will host a
semifinal match on Thursday, November 18
against Nyack (N.Y.) College with the start
time still to be announced. |  |
