Angie Misamore, a member of
the Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s
soccer team, has been selected as the
American Mideast Conference Defensive Player
of the Week for her performance in matches
played during the week of September 21-27.
Misamore,
a senior defender from Findlay, Ohio, led
the Lady Cougars to a 1-0-1 record for the

then notched the team’s fourth shutout of
the season with a 1-0 AMC victory at Walsh
University to close out the week.
For her career, Misamore has played in 76
matches with 75 career starts as the Lady
Cougars have posted a 48-25-5 overall
record. She has scored one goal and had two
assists during her career.
MVNU is currently 4-3-1 overall and 3-1
in the AMC. The Lady Cougars will be back in
action on Saturday when they travel to Knox
County rival Kenyon College for a 3:30 p.m.
non-conference match.
