MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (11-3-2009) - Cody Snouffer, a member of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s soccer team, has been selected as the National Christian College Athletic Association Player of the Week for his performance in matches played during the week of October 26-November 1.

Snouffer, a junior midfielder from Delaware, Ohio, led the Cougars to a 2-0 record for the week as the former Delaware Christian School star scored four goals. Snouffer began the week with a goal in MVNU’s 5-0 victory at home over Malone University. Then, he registered his first career hat trick when he scored all three goals in a 3-0 win at Cedarville University to help the team clinch a berth in the American Mideast Conference Tournament.

On the season, Snouffer leads the Cougars with a career-high nine goals and ranks second on the team with a career-best eight assists. He has now compiled 17 career goals and 16 career assists as he has played in all 64 matches for MVNU the past three years.

The Cougars are currently 12-5-1 overall and finished AMC play with a 6-2-1 conference mark.
