MVNU's Women's Hoops Team Honored for
Classroom Excellence

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (7-13-2010) - The Mount
Vernon Nazarene University women’s
basketball team was recently recognized for
its achievements in the classroom during the
2009-2010 season when the Women’s Basketball
Coaches Association announced its Academic
Top 25 Team Honor Roll lists.
The Lady Cougars, who posted a 21-10
overall record and finished third at the
National Christian College Athletic
Association National Tournament, were tied
for tenth place With Bethel (Kan.) College
out of all the NAIA schools with a 3.443
grade point average. MVNU was also the only
team in the American Mideast Conference to
make the Top 25 list.
