University women’s soccer team had six
players honored when the American Mideast
Conference honors were announced this week.

Page Miller, a senior midfielder from
Bethel, Ohio, was named to the AMC First
Team for the second straight year. The
former Bethel-Tate High School standout is
second for the Lady Cougars this year with
six goals and has also registered two
assists.
Jessica Estep, a sophomore forward from
Mansfield, Ohio, joined Miller on the AMC
First Team for the second consecutive year
as well. The former Madison High School star
leads MVNU with 16 goals to go with six
assists.
Mara Hughes, a junior defender from
Pickerington, Ohio, rounded out the trio of
Lady Cougars on the AMC First Team. The
former Pickerington North High School
product has scored five goals and anchored
the MVNU defense that has posted eight
shutouts in 18 matches.

Angie Misamore, a junior defender from
Findlay, Ohio, was named to the AMC Second
Team for the second straight year. The
former Findlay High School standout has also
been a key component of the Lady Cougars’
back line.
Erin Miller, a senior from Hilliard,
Ohio, was also named to the AMC Second Team.
The former Grove City Christian High School
product has scored a career-high five goals
and leads MVNU with seven assists this year.
Kelly Sgambellone, a senior defender from
Hilliard, Ohio, rounds out the honorees for
the Lady Cougars as she was named to the AMC
Third Team. The former Hilliard Darby High
School star has scored one goal and
contributed five assists while also helping
anchor the back line.
MVNU is currently 11-6-1 overall. The
Lady Cougars finished AMC play with a 9-3-1
conference mark and will be the No. 4 seed
in the AMC Tournament which gets under way
with the first round on Saturday. MVNU will
host No. 5 seed Cedarville University on
Saturday at Cougar Field with kick off
slated for 2:00 p.m. The winner will advance
to the AMC Tournament semifinals next Friday
and Saturday at Ohio Dominican University.
The AMC Tournament champion will receive an
automatic berth into the NAIA National
Tournament Opening Round.
