Adam Worrall, a senior forward from
Blacklick, Ohio, was named to the AMC First
Team after being an AMC South Division
Second Team pick as a sophomore. The former
Gahanna Lincoln High School star leads the
Cougars in goals (19) and assists (8) as
well as ranking in the top five in the NAIA
with eight game-winning goals.
Zach Patterson, a senior defender from
Dayton, Ohio, joined Worrall on the AMC
First Team after being an AMC South Division
Second Team pick a year ago. The former
Dayton Christian High School product has
played every second of every match this
season and has anchored the back line that
has posted 10 shutouts. He also has two
assists.
Scott Spangler, a junior midfielder from
Pataskala, Ohio, was named to the AMC Second
Team for the second straight year. The
former Watkins Memorial High School standout
has registered six assists while controlling
the action in the midfield for MVNU.

Alex Stout, a junior goalkeeper from
Pataskala, Ohio, was named to the AMC
Honorable Mention list for the second time
in his career after being on the AMC South
Division Second Team last year. The former
Watkins Memorial High School star has tied
the school record with 10 shutouts this year
while allowing just 11 goals in 17 matches
for a 0.66 goals against average.
Brady Swanson, a junior defender from
Mount Vernon, Ohio, was also named to the
AMC Honorable Mention list for the second
straight year. The former Mount Vernon High
School product has scored a career-high six
goals to go with three assists while playing
every second this season in helping the back
line post 10 shutouts.
Kemar Jackson, a sophomore defender from
St. Catherine, Jamaica, rounded out the AMC
Honorable Mention selections. The former
Wolmers High School graduate has scored one
goal to go with two assists while
contributing to the strength of the Cougars’
back line.
MVNU is currently 13-3-2 overall and
ranked No. 25 in the latest NAIA poll - the
first time in school history that the
Cougars have cracked the Top 25. The team
finished second in the AMC with an 8-1-2
conference mark and will be the No. 2 seed
in the upcoming AMC Tournament. MVNU will
host a semifinal match next Wednesday at
2:00 p.m. against the winner of Saturday’s
match between No. 3 seed University of Rio
Grande and No. 6 seed Houghton (N.Y.)
College. The winner of the AMC Tournament
receives an automatic berth into the NAIA
National Tournament Opening Round on
November 22.
