Mount Vernon Nazarene University is
located in Mount Vernon, Ohio, just off of
State Route 586 (Martinsburg Road) on the
south side of town. The baseball field is
located on the east end of campus next to
the gymnasium.
The MVNU baseball program has developed a
strong tradition of producing players who
have gone on to play professional baseball
at various levels. Since 1983, the Cougars
have had 13 players drafted by major league
baseball teams including Tim Belcher, the
No. 1 pick overall in 1983. Seven other
players have signed free agent contracts to
play professional baseball.
