No. 5 seed MVNU (22-7, 9-6 AMC) will put a six-game winning streak on the line against the No. 4 seed Lady Racers when the game tips off. The Lady Cougars are averaging 74.1 points per contest while nailing 7.1 three-pointers per game. They are also limiting their opponents to just 37.8 percent shooting from the field and just 26.8 percent shooting from beyond the three-point arc.

Individually, sophomore post Amanda Himes leads MVNU in scoring (19.5 points per game) and rebounding (10.5 rebounds per game) and has returned to form after missing eight games in the middle of the season with mononucleosis. Senior guard Rachel Fiely adds 13.3 points and 3.3 rebounds and has set new school single-season record with 192 assists and 97 steals. Freshman forward Alexis Harkins contributes 13.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, while sophomore guard Lauren Johnson and senior post Melissa Mastrodonato both averaging 7.3 points.

Northwestern Ohio (17-12, 10-5 AMC) will enter Tuesday’s game on a four-game winning streak having also won seven of its last eight games. The Lady Racers average 69.5 points and 6.6 three-pointers per game. They also shoot an impressive 72.8 percent at the free throw line. Northwestern Ohio has posted a 13-3 record on their home court this season and have a current six-game home winning streak.

There are six players on the Northwestern Ohio roster who have made 22 or more three-pointers this season.

These two teams are familiar with each other as this will be the third meeting between them this year with the home team prevailing in the previous two games. MVNU posted a 65-45 win in the Physical Education Center on November 15 with Himes leading the way with 28 points and 23 rebounds. Then, the Lady Racers returned the favor in The Garage on January 17 with an 80-63 win as Francis led four players in double figures with 22 points and 13 rebounds.

College (21-7) hosting No. 6 seed University of Rio Grande (19-11) with the winner of that game advancing to the semifinals at No. 2 seed Ohio Dominican University on Saturday.
