MVNU's Brandolini Earns NCCAA Player of
the Week Honor

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - Kristy Brandolini, a
member of the Mount Vernon
Nazarene
University women’s soccer team, was recently
selected as the National Christian College
Athletic Association Player of the Week for
her performance in matches played during the
week of September 3-9.Brandolini, a
senior forward from Twinsburg, Ohio, led the
Lady Cougars to a 2-0 record that week as
she scored three goals. The former Twinsburg
High School star scored both goals in a 2-0
victory over Malone College. Then, she
closed out the week with one goal in the
team’s 3-1 win at Grace (Ind.) College.
On the season, Brandolini leads MVNU with
four goals through the team’s first seven
matches and also has one assist. She has
moved into second place on the school’s
all-time goals list with 60 for her
illustrious career.
The Lady Cougars are currently 4-2-1
overall. MVNU will be back in action on
Wednesday when the team will host Tiffin
University at 4:00 p.m. in a non-conference
match at Cougar Field.
