Kristy Brandolini, Page Miller, and
Jessica Estep were each selected to the AMC
South Division First Team, while Angie
Misamore and Kelly Sgambellone were named to
the AMC South Division Second Team. Stacy
Robey was an AMC South Division Honorable
Mention pick, and Estep was chosen as the
AMC South Division Freshman of the Year.
Brandolini, a senior forward from
Twinsburg, Ohio, has started in all 19
matches. The former Twinsburg High School
star, who was the top forward selected, has
scored 13 goals and registered a team-high
15 assists for 41 points. For her career,
she ranks first in school history in goals
(69), tied for first in points (186), and
second in assists (48).
Miller, a junior midfielder from Bethel,
Ohio, has started all 19 matches and was the
top midfielder selected. The former
Bethel-Tate High School product has scored
eight goals and tallied seven assists for 23
points. She now ranks sixth in school
history in career goals (19), tied for sixth
in career assists (16), and sixth in career
points (54).
Estep, a freshman forward from Mansfield,
Ohio, has started in 18 matches. The former
Madison High School standout leads the Lady
Cougars with 21 goals to go with three
assists for 45 points. In just one season,
she ranks fifth in school history in career
goals and eighth in career points.
Misamore, a sophomore defender from
Findlay, Ohio, has started in all 19
matches. The former Findlay High School
product has registered two assists and
helped anchor the back line that has
registered seven shutouts.
Sgambellone, a junior defender from
Hilliard, Ohio, has also started in all 19
matches. The former Hilliard Darby High
School standout, who played as a forward and
midfielder her first two years, has scored
one goal and added three assists while being
a key component of the back line. She is
tied for tenth place in school history with
15 career goals.
Robey, a senior defender from New
Carlisle, Ohio, has also started all 19
matches. The former Northwestern High School
graduate has registered two assists and been
another anchor on the team’s back line. She
has also taken the majority of MVNU’s corner
kicks this season.
The Lady Cougars, who are currently
13-5-1 overall, earned a share of the AMC
South Division regular-season title with a
5-1-0 mark to finish ranked 25th in the
final NAIA poll. MVNU will host Nyack (N.Y.)
College on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
in the National Christian College Athletic
Association East Region championship match
with an automatic berth into the NCCAA
national tournament in Kissimmee, Florida,
on November 16-19 on the line. The two teams
met back on September 14 with the Lady
Cougars prevailing 5-0.
