Three Lady Cougars Named NAIA All-Americans

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (12-1-2007) - Three members of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's soccer team were honored when the NAIA All-American Teams were announced on Friday.

Kristy Brandolini, a senior forward from Twinsburg, Ohio, was selected as an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American for the third straight season. The former Twinsburg High School star registered 14 goals and a team-high 16 assists in her final season. She finishes her career ranked first in school history in goals (70), first in points (189), and second in assists (49).

Page Miller, a junior midfielder from Bethel, Ohio, was also selected as an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American. The former Bethel-Tate High School product contributed 10 goals and eight assists this year as she now ranks sixth in school history in goals (21), sixth in assists (17), and fifth in points (59).

Jessica Estep, a freshman forward from Mansfield, Ohio, joined Brandolini and Miller as an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American following an outstanding first college season. The former Madison High School standout led the Lady Cougars with 22 goals in 22 matches this season while also posting three assists. In just one season, she already ranks fifth in school history in goals.

The Lady Cougars finished the year with a 15-7-1 overall record that included a share of the American Mideast Conference South Division title, the National Christian College Athletic Association East Region title, and a fourth-place finish at the NCCAA National Tournament. MVNU was also ranked 25th in the final NAIA national poll.
