MVNU's Sebastian Named NCCAA Player of
the Week

MOUNT
VERNON, Ohio - Amy Sebastian, a member of
the Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s
basketball team, has been selected as the
National Christian College Athletic
Association Player of the Week for her
performance during games played November
6-12.Sebastian, a 5-foot-9 forward from
Harrison, Ohio, averaged 14.5 points and 4.5
rebounds during the Lady Cougars’ 2-0 week.
The former Landmark Christian High School
star scored 12 points and grabbed four
rebounds in a 91-39 victory at Ohio State
University-Marion. Then, Sebastian closed
out the week with 17 points and five
rebounds as she scored 11 of the team’s
final 23 points to turn a 50-49 deficit into
a 72-62 victory over Grace (Ind.) College.
On the season, Sebastian is averaging
13.0 points and 4.3 rebounds while shooting
50.0 percent from the field (13-for-26) and
76.5 percent at the free throw line
(13-for-17). She has also compiled five
assists and eight steals.
MVNU is currently 3-0 on the season. The
Lady Cougars will return to action on Friday
where the team will face Saint Joseph’s
(N.Y.) College at 8:00 p.m. in the first
round of the Muskingum College Tournament. |  |
