The MVNU women’s cross country team boasted four NAIA Scholar-Athlete among the seven runners on the team’s roster. Seniors Jillian Headley (3.919), Amanda Watkins, (3.840), Brittany Dissinger (3.687), and Lauren Hall (3.561) were each honored for the Lady Cougars.

The women’s soccer team also had four NAIA Scholar-Athletes as seniors Allison Elifritz (3.956) and Krysti Wilson (3.920) and juniors Jessica Pagano (3.848) and Stacy Robey (3.521) were honored for the Lady Cougars, who won the National Christian College Athletic Association national title.

The men’s soccer team had three players selected for NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors as senior Mark Brauen (3.826), junior Matt Wilging (3.760), and senior Daniel Seiffert (3.673) were each honored.

The women’s volleyball team also had two players named NAIA Scholar-Athletes as seniors Jessi Weaver (3.839) and Katie Ickes (3.825) rounded out MVNU’s school-record 13 total honorees.

In order to be eligible for nomination for the NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, student-athletes must be a junior or a senior with a 3.50 grade point average or higher.
