MVNU's Clark Earns NCCAA Player of the
Week Honor

 MOUNT
VERNON, Ohio - Derek Clark, a member of the
Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s golf
team, was recently selected as the National
Christian College Athletic Association
Player of the Week for his performance
during the week of April 9-15.Clark, a
senior from Paulding, Ohio, led the Cougars
to a third-place finish out of 10 teams at
the MVNU Invitational held at Apple Valley
Golf Course. The former Paulding High School
standout finished second overall by shooting
a two-day 149. He was the leader after the
first day as the only player to shoot under
par with a one-under 71. He finished with a
78 on the second day and earned a spot on
the All-Tournament Team.
Clark and the Cougars will return to
action on Friday and Saturday at the Malone
College Spring Invitational to be played at
Tannenhauf Golf Course in Alliance, Ohio.
