NewsMVNU's Elifritz Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Teamwritten by Dave Parsons, Sports Information Director
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - Allison Elifritz, a member of the Mount
Vernon Nazarene University women’s soccer team, was recently
selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District IV College Division
First Team.Elifritz, a junior midfielder from Westerville, Ohio, recorded three goals and four assists in 18 matches during the 2005 season. The former Worthington Christian High School standout, who was a CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Second Team selection a year ago, has also posted a 3.96 grade point average in the classroom as a middle childhood education major. MVNU finished the season with a 12-6-1 overall record. The Lady Cougars were also second in the American Mideast Conference South Division with a 6-1-1 conference mark. The CoSIDA Academic All-District IV College Division Teams are selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America. Eligible student-athletes must have at least a 3.20 grade point average and be at least in their sophomore year. The District IV College Division is made up of NCAA Division II and III and NAIA schools in Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee.
