Hilen, a senior defender from West Chester, Ohio, started all 20 matches for the Cougars in 2004 and led the team in minutes played with 1,798. The former Lakota East High School standout anchored the MVNU back line that posted six shutouts and allowed just 30 goals on the year. This marked the second time that Hilen was named an NCCAA Honorable Mention All-American as he also received the honor in 2002.

In addition to being named an NCCAA Honorable Mention All-American, Hilen was chosen to the American Mideast Conference South Division Second Team and the NCCAA East Region Team.

Van Pelt, a sophomore forward from Maryville, Tennessee, led the Cougars with 14 goals and seven assists as he started all 20 matches.  The former William Blount High School star was also selected to the AMC South Division Second Team and the NCCAA East Region Team.

The Cougars finished the 2004 campaign with a 9-8-3 overall record and a 2-3-3 mark in the highly competitive AMC South Division.
