MVNU's Snyder Named NCCAA National Golfer of the Weekwritten by Dave Parsons, Sports Information Director
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - Scott Snyder, a member of the Mount Vernon
Nazarene University men's golf team, has been selected as the
National Christian College Athletic Association Player of the Week
for his performance during the week of October 13-19.
Snyder, a senior from Marion, Ohio, led the Cougars to a first-place finish at the Tri-State (Ind.) University Fall Invitational. The former River Valley High School standout fired a two-under-par 70 to earn medalist honors as MVNU won the six-team event with a team total of 294.
The Cougars finished the fall portion of their 2003-2004 schedule with an overall record of 22-9 as the team competed in four tournaments. MVNU, which is coming off a trip to the NAIA National Tournament in the spring, will resume its schedule in March.
