Eyerman, a pitcher from Delaware, Ohio, has had an outstanding senior season at Buckeye Valley High School where she had compiled an 11-3 record with a 0.39 earned run average at last report. In 91 innings, Eyerman had struck out 89 batters and issued just 11 walks. The three-time All-Central District and All-Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference selection was an All-Ohio pick as a sophomore.

"We are excited about the addition of Kristin to our team,” said MVNU head coach Jeana Howald. "She will add quality depth to our pitching staff and will compete for time in the starting rotation right away. She is also a good student and is a good fit for the type of kids that we want for our program.”

In addition to playing softball, Eyerman is a member of National Honor Society and received the Academic Math Award twice. She was also selected to prom court during her senior year.

"There are several reasons why I chose MVNU,” said Eyerman of her college choice. "MVNU is close to home, and I will be able to get my necessary education in a small, Christian atmosphere.

MVNU posted a 23-17 overall record in 2004 and finished fourth in the American Mideast Conference South Division with an 8-6 mark. The Lady Cougars also won the National Christian College Athletic Association East Region Tournament and advanced to the NCCAA National Tournament, where they finished fifth out of 10-teams. In addition, the team qualified for the AMC Tournament for the second straight year.
