Dendinger, a sophomore infielder from Greenwich, Ohio, batted .600 (9-for-15) as the Cougars went 5-0 during the week. The former standout at South Central High School also posted a .684 on-base percentage, a 1.000 slugging percentage, and a 1.000 fielding percentage with 17 putouts and one assist and no errors. In a 12-2 win over Ohio State University-Newark, Dendinger went 0-for-1 with three walks as he scored twice. Then, in a doubleheader sweep of Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) University, he went 5-for-8 with four RBI, four runs scored, one double, and his first collegiate home run. He closed out the week by going 4-for-6 with two RBI, two runs scored, and two doubles in a twinbill sweep of Illinois Institute of Technology. For the season, Dendinger is batting .417 for MVNU, which is off to an 8-5 start. Dendinger is 15-for-36 with four doubles, one home run, seven RBI, and 10 runs scored. He also leads the team with a .611 slugging percentage. The Cougars will return to action on Tuesday when the team will travel to Mount Union College for a non-conference doubleheader that will get under way at 1:00 p.m.
