Adams, a 5-foot-9 junior guard/forward from Cardington, Ohio, led the Lady Cougars to a 2-1 record for the week as she averaged 21 points, nine rebounds, 2.3 assists, two steals, and one blocked shot per game. She also shot 45.5 percent from the field (20-of-44), 44.4 percent from three-point range (8-of-18), and 71.4 percent from the free throw line (15-of-21). Adams began the week with 21 points and 10 rebounds in a 75-62 loss at Shawnee State University, ranked 12th in NAIA Division II at the time. She followed that with another double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds in a 71-55 victory over Wilberforce University. Then, she closed out the week with 25 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in a 95-38 win over Rochester (Mich.) College. For the season, Adams leads MVNU in scoring (16.4 points per game) and rebounding (7.9 rebounds per game). She has also grabbed a team-high 32 steals to go with 54 assists and 10 blocked shots. She is shooting 45.1 percent from the field (107-of-237), 30.8 percent from three-point land (28-of-91), and 74.6 percent from the free throw line (53-of-71). The Lady Cougars are currently 9-9 overall and 2-5 in the AMC South Division. MVNU will return to action on Saturday when the team will host Urbana University in a conference game at 5:30 p.m.
