Highlighting the list was senior guard Phil Argento, who was selected as the NCCAA East Region Player of the Year. The 6-foot-2 native of Grafton, Ohio, and former All-Ohioan from Lutheran West High School leads the NCCAA with a 22.4 points per game scoring average. He has also nailed a school-record 135 three-pointers this season and ranks eighth in the history of college basketball with 451 career treys. Argento has also recorded 51 steals and 58 assists this season and is shooting 77.8 percent from the free throw line.

Brad Moser, a 6-foot-3 senior forward from Wadsworth, Ohio, was named to the NCCAA East Region Second Team. The former Wadsworth High School standout is averaging 10.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game and leads the Cougars with 54 steals. He has also recorded 93 assists and is shooting 74.1 percent from the free throw line.

Konrod Morris, a 6-foot-3 senior forward from Kingston, Jamaica, was an NCCAA East Region Honorable Mention pick. The Wolmers High School graduate is averaging 9.7 points and a team-high 7.5 rebounds per game. He is also shooting 53.1 percent from the field (113-of-213) and has 30 assists and 21 steals.

Andy Dunn, a 6-foot-1 junior guard from Hamilton, Ohio, joined Morris on the NCCAA East Region Honorable Mention list. The former Lakota West High School product is averaging 11.6 points per game and leads the team with 120 assists. He is also shooting 83.7 percent from the free throw line and is second on the team with 89 three-pointers.

MVNU is currently 18-12 overall. The Cougars, who are the defending NCCAA national champions, will face Geneva (Pa.) College in the NCCAA East Region championship game on March 8.
