NewsReynoldsburg Grad to Play Softball at MVNUwritten by Dave Parsons, Sports Information Director
Meade, a utility player from Reynoldsburg, Ohio, played primarily first base and leftfield for Reynoldsburg High School. She was a two-year varsity letter winner, and she recorded two doubles and three triples as a senior. "Jennifer will be a good addition to our team," said MVNU head coach Jeana Howald. "She has the ability to play several different positions for us. She is also a quality, Christian young woman, who will fit in well on our campus and on our team." "There are several reasons why I chose MVNU," said Meade of her college choice. "I really like the Christian atmosphere there. The academic programs are good, and it is close to home. The softball program also has a good winning tradition." MVNU posted a 29-20 overall record in 2003 and advanced to the NAIA Region IX Tournament for the first time ever. The Lady Cougars, who set a school record with a .952 fielding percentage and also had a team earned run average of 1.74, return all but two players from this year's squad.
