Bethany Seiffert, a member of the Mount Vernon Nazarene College women's soccer team, was recently selected as an Honorable Mention All-American when the National Christian College Athletic Association released its All-American Teams.

Seiffert, a junior midfielder from Lewis Center, Ohio, had a big impact for the Lady Cougars in her first season after transferring from Indiana Wesleyan University. The former Olentangy High School standout recorded nine goals, eight assists, and 26 points as one of the top offensive threats on the team. Seiffert also contributed on the defensive side of the ledger in helping MVNC post seven shutouts.

The Lady Cougars finished the season with a 14-9 overall record - the most wins in the program's two-year varsity history. MVNC also posted a 10-6 record in the American Mideast Conference. The team won the NCCAA East Region title and finished in fifth place at the NCCAA National Tournament in Kissimmee, Florida.
