
Bethany Seiffert, a member of the Mount Vernon Nazarene College women's soccer team, became the first player in the program's brief two-year varsity history to be selected to an NAIA All-American Team as she earned Honorable Mention status when the teams were announced recently.
Seiffert, a junior midfielder from Lewis Center, Ohio, started all 23 matches for the Lady Cougars and recorded nine goals and eight assists. The former standout at Olentangy High School was also an NAIA Region IX First Team and an American Mideast Conference Second Team selection.
MVNC finished the season with a 14-9 overall record and a 10-6 conference mark. The Lady Cougars advanced to both the AMC Tournament and the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament for the first time this year.
