Paul Lail

Inducted during the 2001-2002 school year

Paul Lail Paul Lail was a four-year member of the men's tennis program during his college career at MVNC from 1979-1983.

Over the course of his four years at MVNC, Lail helped to establish the Cougars as one of the top teams in the Mid-Ohio Conference and NAIA District 22. In both his junior and senior seasons, he led MVNC to runner-up finishes in both the MOC Tournament and the NAIA District 22 Tournament.

Lail, who played first singles and first doubles from his freshman season on, was the two-time MOC Player of the Year in 1982 and 1983. He was also selected as MVNC's team Most Valuable Player in each of his final three seasons.

As a senior in 1983, Lail won both the MOC first singles and first doubles titles. He was also selected as a Verizon Academic All-American in 1983.
