Jeff KuderInducted during the 2001-2002 school year
Jeff Kuder was a three-year member of the
baseball team from 1986-1988 and one of the most decorated pitchers in the
program's pitching-rich history.During Kuder's career, the Cougars posted an overall record of 86-56 and won two Mid-Ohio Conference titles. As a senior, Kuder led all NAIA pitchers with a school-record 0.83 earned run average, a perfect 12-0 record, and a 12.73 strikeouts per nine innings ratio. For his efforts that year, Kuder was selected as an NAIA First Team All-American and chosen as the Mid-Ohio Conference, NAIA District 22, and NAIA Area 6 Player of the Year. He was also a Verizon and NAIA Academic All-American. For his career, Kuder still ranks second in strikeouts (252), fifth in earned run average (2.82), and sixth in wins (22). He also holds the NAIA national record with three career no-hitters, and he combined on a fourth no-hitter. At the end of his senior season, Kuder was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 35th round.
