Don Eads

Inducted during the 1993-1994 school year

Don Eads was one of the first standout athletes at Mount Vernon Nazarene College. Eads was selected as the men's basketball team's Most Valuable Player following the 1969-70 season and then captured the team MVP award for baseball after the 1970 season.

At the conclusion of the 1969-70 basketball season, Eads was selected to the Nazarene College All-Star First Team and named to the Region 7 Junior College All-Star Team. He was third in the nation in scoring among junior college players with an average of 31.7 points per game. He also shot 53.6 percent from the field and 85 percent from the free throw line. In one game against Spring Arbor (MI) College, he scored a career-high 47 points.

Currently, Eads is a teacher in the East Knox School system. He continues to leave his mark in athletics as he has coached the boys and girls basketball teams and girls volleyball team at East Knox. He has also been an annual part of the coaching staff for the Cougar summer basketball camps.
