Dr. Lora Donoho

Inducted during the 1995-1996 school years

Dr. Lora Donoho came to Mount Vernon Nazarene College in 1975 and served faithfully for 15 years as Athletic Director and Chair of the Physical Education Department. "Doc" will long be remembered for her charming and witting personality along with her strong commitment to provide athletic opportunities to all student-athletes.

Donoho was instrumental in developing women's athletics at MVNC as well as being a positive voice nationally in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Her efforts earned her a place in the NAIA Hall of Fame. In addition to her many administrative responsibilities, Donoho coached women's basketball, volleyball, softball, men's and women's tennis, cheerleading, and even men's soccer during their first year as a club sport.

After retiring from MVNC in 1990, Donoho served as the Chair of the Education Department at Olivet Nazarene University. After a short stint at ONU, she accepted a new position at Trevecca Nazarene College and served as the Athletic Director until 1997.
