Mount Vernon Nazarene University: Life Changing
Priority One Day

What is Priority One?
A time to visit and minister in as many local churches on our region as possible. This effort provides an opportunity for our University volunteers to connect with our primary stakeholders - Nazarene pastors and laymen - while allowing them to give an increased visibility to MVNU and to share their own area of work with you.

Why?
We want to thank you! MVNU knows the vital importance of our strong relationships to the Churches of the Nazarene on our region. Because of the Church's realization of the importance of a quality education in a Christian environment, Mount Vernon Nazarene University was established to serve eastern Kentucky, West Virginia and Ohio - the East Central Educational Region.

When?
We have chosen the Eastern Kentucky District as our Priority One for the spring of 2008.
We will visit as many Eastern Kentucky District churches as possible on April 20, 2008.

If this date does not work with your schedule, but you would like to have a representative at another time, please let us know.We will get someone to you!

Who?
Every available faculty member, administrator, staff member, and selected students.
Our University volunteers will sing, preach, give a Sunday school class workshop in their area of expertise, and provide a brief MVNU presentation.

We have asked our University volunteers to serve you in one of the following ways: preach, teach, lead worship, or provide special vocal or instrumental music.

They will each be prepared to give a brief MVNU presentation as well as provide information to your prospective MVNU students as desired. The last two paragraphs will remain the same under that section.

How much will this cost?
NOTHING!
No honorarium or offering is required. We ask that lunch and overnight housing (if needed) be provided. The University will take care of any other expenses.

“Christ-like Leaders for the 21st Century”
We cherish the strong partnership we have with our regional churches to prepare students to be Christ-like leaders for the 21st century. Our desire is that this day will even further strengthen this partnership for the sake of our students.

Some pastors may choose to use this day to help boost income for their annual educational budget. (Our volunteers will not have budget information, so the pastor will need to take the lead.)

MVNU materials will be available for students, parents, and pastors.
