Frequently Asked Questions
What are giving clubs and societies?
Giving clubs and societies are just small ways in which we can honor individuals like you who support Mount Vernon Nazarene University and our students through financial assistance either an annual basis or through estate plans; such as: wills, charitable gift annuities, or insurance policies.
What are the benefits of being in a giving club or society?
As a member of any of our giving clubs or societies, you are entitled to all of the following:
- Welcome letter and membership decal at the beginning of each year
- The Flame, our donor newsletter
- National recognition in our Annual Report
How do I become a member?
Each year, your first gift automatically makes you a giving club member. Your total giving at the end of the year will determine the giving club level for the next year.
If you have named MVNU in your will, charitable gift annuity, or insurance policy, or you would like to establish an endowment, please notify our office so we may add you to our Nease Society. Your faithful giving will be honored in our Eternal Flame Society and our Faithful Friends Society.
