Community Invited to MVNU for Goliards Chamber Choir Concert

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - Mount Vernon Nazarene University's Goliards Chamber Choir will present their fall concert on Thursday evening, Nov. 14, at 8 p.m. in Thorne Performance Hall in the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Fine Arts Building. The concert is free and the community is invited and encouraged to attend.

Goliards, an a cappella chamber choir, consists of 19 members under the direction of Elizabeth Barrett. Their concert will feature "i Thank You God for most this amazing day," arrangement by Eric Whitacre with text by e.e. Cummings. The choir will also present a diverse selection, spanning many eras, of a cappella pieces with intricate harmonies and inspiring texts.

Goliards is one of three choral ensembles at MVNU. They perform their own fall and spring concerts and join with other ensembles in various events such as the annual Homecoming concert and the Christmas Festival. Members represent a variety of academic majors and denominational backgrounds.
