Sarah Jane is a part-time drawing professor at Kent State University and currently lives in Kent Ohio. Her artwork focuses on the continuity within change and self-awareness in all aspects of daily life. By focusing on the small, familiar moments, Sarah Jane is able to express more complex themes of life. Her artwork primarily starts by capturing a video of an every-day activity and then dividing the video into a series of still images. She then layers those images in the drawing process and then weaves the lines and shapes on the page to make the piece of art an abstract map of visual activity.
