MVNU and MTVarts Partner to Perform The Crucible

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - The MTVarts Classics Series in partnership with MVNU will present Arthur Miller's The Crucible on May 1-3 in Mount Vernon's Memorial Theater. The shows will take place at 7 p.m. on May 1, 2, and 3. Tickets can be purchased online; they are $12 for community members and free for MVNU students with a student ID.
Students from MVNU and members of the Mount Vernon community have partnered with MTVarts to present The Crucible, by Arthur Miller. This play is a dramatized story of the Salem witch trials that took place in Massachusetts from 1692 to 1693.
This performance of The Crucible is directed by Leah Andrews, with art direction by Bruce Jacklin. Many MVNU students hold leading roles, and faculty member Margaret Allotey-Pappoe plays the role of Tituba. Being able to partner with the Mount Vernon community has provided the MVNU Drama Department with many great opportunities.
