Music Department Christmas Festival

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - The Music Department at Mount Vernon Nazarene University will present the biennial Christmas Festival on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 7:15 p.m. in the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Auditorium.
The community is invited to celebrate the season with a wide variety of Christmas music. The concert will feature Music Department choral and instrumental ensembles.
Collegians Chorale, Treble Singers, and Wind Ensemble will join together for the processional "The Coming of the King." The Wind Ensemble and Flute Choir will perform movements from Peter Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker." The Wind Ensemble will also present the "Cathedral Chorus" to Alfred Reed's "Russian Christmas Music." Student director, Sam Wolfe, will conduct the Wind Ensemble's presentation of "Angel Sings" by Bill Calhoun. Choral selections include an African piece titled "Noel," presented by Collegians Chorale, and an English carol titled "Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day," performed by Treble Singers.
