MVNU to Unveil Ariel Arena in Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - During Homecoming weekend on November 8, 2013, MVNU will unveil the brand-new Ariel Arena during a Ribbon-Cutting and Dedication Ceremony at 5 p.m., followed by a reception at 5:30 p.m. inside the arena. Both events are free and open to the public.
Ariel Arena is MVNU's brand-new, state-of-the-art athletic center that will become the new home of Cougar athletics. It will provide the community with outstanding fitness and recreation facilities and will seat up to 3,000 for concerts and events, and 1,800 for basketball and volleyball games.
Its highlights include:
Three full-sized athletic courts
Center court with "horseshoe" seating
Spacious lobby with Arena overlook
Cougar Sports Associates stadium seating and gathering space
Redesigned 586 Cafe and two concession areas
Special Event banquet hall (accommodating 225)
Cardio fitness and weight rooms
Athletic Training Center
Faculty and coaches offices
