MVNU Names Yvonne Schultz Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - Mount Vernon Nazarene University has named Dr. Yvonne Schultz as the new Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities. She has been served as a member of the MVNU faculty since 2000.
Prior to her appointment as Dean, Schultz was the Chair in the Department of Communication and Associate Professor of English and Journalism. Schultz has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Marion Technical College, the University of Akron, and OSU-Newark. Among her other professional accomplishments, Shultz was the owner of Schultz Publication Services and worked as a copywriter for Mount Carmel Health System Creative Services.
Schultz received her Ph.D. in English at Bowling Green State University in 2011 with a focus on Rhetoric and Writing. She also holds an M.A. in English/Composition from the University of Akron and a B.A. in Communication/Journalism from Crown College.
Schultz will begin transitioning into her new role immediately.
