Central Ohio Watercolor Society Coming to Schnormeier Gallery

MOUNT VERNON, OH - MVNU's Schnormeier Gallery will be displaying paintings by the Central Ohio Watercolor Society from July 5 to August 16. An artist reception will take place on July 12, from 6 to 9 pm. Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public.
The Schnormeier Gallery, located in MVNU's Buchwald Center, is pleased to host the artwork of the Central Ohio Watercolor Society. This exhibit promises a fantastic array of beautiful works in the medium of watercolor. With a wide variety of themes, this exhibit promises to be a unique experience. The artist reception will present the different artworks and explore the thoughts and technique that went into making them.
The Central Ohio Watercolor Society was founded in 1964 and is the preeminent transparent watercolor society in the region. It has over 100 members and is dedicated to preserving and promoting the unique character of transparent watercolor. Transparent watercolor is unique in its unparalleled ability to portray light. It lends itself to a variety of styles, all of which are celebrated by the Central Ohio Watercolor Society and this exhibit.
