MVNU Hosts VeggieTales Premier

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio- Mount Vernon Nazarene University is pleased to host the premier of VeggieTales recent release, "The Penniless Princess - God's Little Girl," sponsored by WNZR and Gospel Supply Shop.
It's a lesson in true worth in the new VeggieTales DVD,"The Penniless Princess - God's Little Girl." WNZR 90.9 FM and the Gospel Supply Shop will host a VeggieTales Premier on Tuesday, Aug. 14, for Big Idea Entertainment's newest DVD release, "The Penniless Princess - God's Little Girl." Three showings will be held at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. in Thorne Performance Hall in the R.R. Hodges Chapel on the campus of Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Doors open 15 minutes prior to each show.
VeggieTales: The Penniless Princess - God's Little Girl is based on the children's book, A Little Princess, by Frances Hodgson Burnett, and helps to teach an important lesson about knowing your own true worth. The story is inspired by Philippians 4:8, which reads, "Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things".
This animated film introduces us to sweet Sara Crew. She has everything a little girl could want - a loving family, lots of friends and a closet full of frilly dresses! But when life takes a turn and Sara goes from riches to rags, will she realize that her true worth lies not in what she has, but what she has in her heart? This inspiring new story from VeggieTales reminds kids who they are in God's eyes with a lesson about trusting God, no matter what happens in life, based on Romans 8:39: "Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord".
VeggieTales: The Penniless Princess - God's Little Girl will feature plenty of high-energy, family-friendly music including the all-new Silly Song "Best Friends Forever" and the featured song "No Matter What".
Prior to each showing, WNZR DJs will sing a "silly song" with the crowd and give out prizes. Tickets are $2 for all ages and can be purchased at Gospel Supply Shop (117 South Main St.), WNZR studios (800 Martinsburg Road) or by calling (740) 392-9090. Tickets are limited with a specific number of seats available for each showing.
