Summer Quest Returns to MVNU
MOUNT VERNON, OH - Registration begins for the second year of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Summer Quest program.
This summer, MVNU will again host the "MVNU Summer Quest" program, an educational day camp for Knox County elementary students. First launched in 2012 by the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Education Department, the program includes numerous camps, licensed instructors, and volunteers from Knox County Career Center Teacher Academy and the COAD Foster Grandparent program.
This year's program will feature eight new science quests and the return of the Reading Recharge Quest in addition to the quests previously offered. The Ohio Children's Foundation, Rolls Royce Energy Systems, T-Shirt Express, and the Kiwanis Club of Mount Vernon have all provided generous donations to support the efforts of MVNU Summer Quest. Tuition will also be significantly reduced for every student enrolling in a quest this summer thanks to the Community Foundation of Mount Vernon & Knox County, which has provided a generous $3000 grant to defray tuition costs.
