MVNU Develops Presidential Profile; Opens Application and Nomination Process

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- Mount Vernon Nazarene University's Presidential Search Committee, at the direction of the MVNU Board of Trustees, has completed the development of a Presidential Profile, and a nomination and application process is now open through August 15, 2012, as MVNU seeks its seventh president. The Presidential Profile includes an introduction to MVNU, institutional strengths and priorities, challenges and opportunities the next president may face, and leadership qualities required for this position. The Presidential Search website also includes the presidential transition framework and tracks the progress of the search process. The website also defines the process for submission of nominations and applications. Dr. Daniel J. Martin resigned effective July 1, 2012, after accepting the presidency at Seattle Pacific University. Dr. Henry Spaulding, MVNU Provost and Chief Academic Officer, has been named Interim President during the transition.
