MVNU's GPS Program Now Offering Three New Undergraduate Degrees

MOUNT VERNON, OH - Mount Vernon Nazarene University is offering three new undergraduate degrees for working adults and other non-traditional students through the Graduate and Professional Studies Program. Classes will begin this fall in an Associate of Applied Science - Business (AAS-B) program, Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education degree completion program (ECE) and an RN to BS in Nursing.

The AAS-B program is specifically designed for working adults looking to advance their career with a college degree. Fully online, it is a convenient and flexible program with a dynamic and engaging curriculum. As with all of the degree programs at MVNU, students learn from expert instructors with real-world experience, study with other adults that can serve as networking resources in the future. The first step toward a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MVNU's AAS-B program will equip students with the skills necessary to become a competent, confident, and informed leader in today's marketplace.

The ECE degree completion program is specifically for educators desiring to earn their teaching license and begin teaching in the elementary school classroom. One of the only online programs of its kind in Ohio, it allows students to complete their bachelor's degree while maintaining their current work and family responsibilities. Completion of the program qualifies graduates to earn their Ohio teaching license in Early Childhood Education with the Early Childhood Endorsement that will allow individuals to teach preschool through grade five. MVNU's Early Childhood Degree Completion Program is approved by the Ohio Board of Regents.

The RN to B.S. in Nursing program is offered through the School of Nursing and Health Sciences at MVNU and will provide the knowledge and skill level to position nurses for career advancement in the rapidly changing health care field. Classes are conveniently located in Hunter Hall, MVNU's state-of-the-art nursing facility in Mount Vernon, Ohio, and the program is conveniently designed for working adults to complete the program in as few as four semesters.
