MVNU Instrumental Ensembles to Perform Free Concert

MOUNT VERNON, OH - Several MVNU instrumental ensembles will join in concert at Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Tuesday, Mar. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.
The Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Chamber Winds, directed by Dr. John Packard, will perform selections from their upcoming tour in April featuring works by Samuel Hazo, Frank Ticheli, James Curnow, and David Holsinger. The Jazz Band, directed by Mr. Rick Brunetto, and the Flute Choir, directed by Mrs. Jenny Packard, will also be featured in this concert.
These MVNU instrumental ensembles perform in various concerts and venues throughout the school year. Students representing several states, a variety of academic majors and a number of different denominational backgrounds are involved.
