"Eggsploitation" explores the infertility industry's dirty little secret about egg donation. By shedding light on the industry's tactics, which target young, vulnerable women for the precious commodity of human eggs, Lahl hopes to raise awareness of the dangers: the exploitation of young women and the short- and long-term health risks accompanied with egg donation.

Lahl, the executive producer, writer, and director of the project, partners her 25 years of experience as a pediatric critical care nurse, a hospital administrator and senior-level nursing manager with a deep passion to educate and to speak for those who have no voice.

Her writings have been featured in various publications including the "San Francisco Chronicle," the "Dallas Morning News" and the "American Journal of Bioethics." As a field expert, Lahl has been interviewed on radio and television networks, including ABC, CDC, PBS and NPR and has been invited to speak alongside lawmakers and members of the scientific community.

Lahl is also the founding director of Every Woman First, and she serves on the North American Educational Board for Ethics and Medicine and the Board of Reference for Joni Erickson Tada's Institute on Disability. She was also the associate director for the 2009 documentary film, "Lines That Divide," which sought to educate the public about the scientific basics of stem cell research and the moral issues surrounding it in the 21st century.
