Although it is not yet time for the county fair, several "Blue Ribbon" classics will be presented in a concert presented by MVNU's chamber choir, the Goliards; they will be under the direction of Virginia Cameron on Thursday, May 10 at 8:00 in Thorne Performance Hall in the R. R. Hodges Chapel.

This concert will be filled with familiar renaissance madrigal and motet masterpieces including those written by composers such as Ravenscroft, Purcell, Bennet, Wilbye, Morely, Gibbons, des Pres, Hassler, Billings, Banchieri and Schutz. The Goliards will also perform a group of spirituals and hymn tunes, and close with arrangements of some lighter, more familiar tunes including Billy Joel's "And So It Goes and Lullabye."

This concert is free and open to the public.
