MVNU Presents Constitution Day Event

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio --Mount Vernon Nazarene University's History and Political Science Department is pleased to present "Battling Over the Constitution: Current Controversies in the Supreme Court" in honor of Constitution Day. The event will take place on Monday, September 19 at 7 p.m. in Faculty Hall Room 105 on the MVNU campus. Dr. Lawrence Baum, Professor of Political Science at The Ohio State University, will be the featured speaker. This event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Baum is one of the most respected and accomplished judicial politics scholars in the nation. He is the author of five books and over fifty academic journal articles, including Judges and Their Audiences, which the American Political Science Association named the best book published on Law and Courts in 2006. Dr. Baum's presentation will preview upcoming major Supreme Court cases and their potential impact on American politics. Audience members will be invited to participate in a Q & A session following the presentation.
